Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a medical specialty that involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals and vitamins into the skin. It can be used to eliminate cellulite, promote weight loss, treat aging skin and redundant (sagging) skin, and rejuvenate the hands and neck.

Mesotherapy is used for the following purposes:

  • to moisturise and rejuvenate the skin (by stimulating collagen and elastin production and cellular metabolism),
  • to treat cellulite,
  • to treat hair loss,
  • to treat stretch marks,
  • to treat overgrown scars (keloid).

Mesotherapy is usually performed in sessions consisting of several treatments each. Mesotherapy can only be carried out by a doctor, using a needle and syringe, or using a special mesotherapy gun. Intradermal or subcutaneous injections of various substances stimulate cellular metabolism and consequently increase collagen and elastin formation. The active substances are selected according to the type of treatment and the patient’s needs. The treatments may be applied to facial skin or body skin.
